Building Grace House
Grace House is a newly renovated 5-family house
purchased by the Southbridge Interfaith Hospitality
Network (SIHN). The house is named after one of it’s
first guests, Grace L. Gonzalez (pictured on right).
SIHN is a program for homeless families that serves as
many as 10 people at a time. The house was purchased
last year. Southbridge Savings Bank financed the loan
on the property, which has a U.S.D.A Rural Housing
loan guaranty.
Over several months individuals and businesses
donated their time and supplies to the project. Several
Southbridge Savings Bank employees also assisted in
the renovations, including Phil Pettinelli, President &
CEO and Brian Chandley, VP of Commercial Lending
& Services.
Ronal Cooper and Lora Baldracchi were co-
chairpersons of the SIHN Capital Campaign. Kyle Hill
and Mike Checkosky were co-chairmen of the
refreshment committee
