On March 7th, 8th, & 9th, the Builders Association of Central Massachusetts hosted the Worcester Spring Home Show at the DCU center. This year, the Builders Association awarded ribbons in a variety of categories to qualifying show participants. Proudly accepting the blue ribbon honor of the "Best Professional Services" award was Southbridge Savings Bank. A panel of three people judged the professional services booths on a variety of important attributes. The criteria for this award was based on attractiveness, design, customer appeal, traffic flow, use of space, clarity and focus of effort, product presentation, professionalism and last but not least, image and enthusiasm of booth staff. All staff participating thought it was a great show and as Caron Dooley, manager of the Holden branch, said it is a "great event to showcase Southbridge Savings Bank", and Emily DeGray, assistant manager of the Big Y Southbridge Plaza branch said "we strive for excellence in all our endeavors and look forward to participating in future events." Manager of the Worcester branch Sheila Veideman likes to ask the visitors questions in order to identify their needs, which in turn, can help match them with an appropriate bank product. Sheila believes this was "one of the better shows of the last couple years." The overall opinion of everyone was that this was a great show for vendors and visitors and Southbridge Savings Bank is proud of being named one of "The Best".
