Southbridge Savings Bank Provides Continued Support for
Old Sturbridge Village Small House Project

Ties To The Past Foster Modern Connection

Left to Right Southbridge Savings Bank CEO and President, Phil Pettinelli, congratulates
OSV President, Beverly Sheppard on continued progress of the Small House Project.

The Small House Project is nearing a milestone. All the beams are hewn, the joinery is cut, and the next step is momentous - an early 19th-century frame raising, scheduled for the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend (May 28, 2005). After that, plenty of finishing work, and then a new house for Old Sturbridge Village. Southbridge Savings Bank is proud to be the lead sponsor of the project that began last year at the outdoor history museum.

Old Sturbridge Village, a nonprofit educational institution that first opened in 1946, is a history museum and learning resource that invites all visitors to find meaning, pleasure, relevance, and inspiration in the exploration of New England's past. The centerpiece of the museum is a re-created rural New England town of the 1830s set on more than 200 acres of historical landscape, encompassing a Center Village, Mills Area, and Countryside.
