Southbridge Savings Bank Announces Commercial Officer
Ronald Cooper Advances to the Role of Business Development Officer
SOUTHBRIDGE - Lifelong area resident and former local business owner (Coop’s Scoops) Ronald H.
Cooper was recently promoted to the position of Business Development Officer for the Commercial
Division of Southbridge Savings Bank. Ron, as friends and associates know him, has been with
Southbridge Savings Bank since May of 2002. He has worked closely with many businesses over the
past three years to offer them product solutions to meet their diverse needs.
Southbridge Savings Bank offers full-service banking at all twelve of their locations. As a
Commercial Officer, Ron often also works with branch managers and business owners throughout
Massachusetts and Northern Connecticut. He is known for his ability to assess small business
needs and to further recommend solutions that help business owners save both time and money.
The savings of time and money allows them to dedicate more of themselves to building their
business and ultimately to enrich their lives.

Ron is a member and Past President of the Southbridge Lions Club, is a long-standing Corporator
of Southbridge Savings Bank, is on the Board of Trustees at Harrington Hospital and works to
support the Festival of Giving Trees. He has spent his entire life in the Southbridge area and
currently resides in Sturbridge with his wife of twenty-three years, Elaine. He has two children,
daughter Melanie is twenty and son Jason is eighteen.
