Southbridge Savings Bank Raises more than $12,000 for Tsunami Emergency Relief
Financial Donations given to the American Red Cross
April 5, 2004-For over three months Southbridge Savings Bank has been collecting donations to
give to the Tsunami relief fund. During that time more than $12,061 in funds were collected
through the generous donations by employees and customers.
"Seeing a community pull together and support those in need all over the world is truly
inspiring", stated Philip Pettinelli, President and CEO of Southbridge Savings bank. "The
response from customers coming into our branches looking to support the relief efforts were
overwhelming." All of the donations were forwarded to the American Red Cross for the Tsunami
victims on a frequent basis. These donations will provide immediate relief and long-term
support through supplies, technical assistance, and other support to those in need.
