Southbridge Savings Bank Donates to the Claire Birtz Wildlife Sanctuary

2006 - Southbridge Savings Bank is pleased to announce it
has made a $1000 donation to the Opacum Land Trust for the Claire
Birtz Wildlife Sanctuary Project. This donation has been generously
matched by The Trustees of the Claire Birtz Estate.
The Opacum Land Trust, an organization focused on protecting South
Central Massachusetts natural and cultural resources, will be acquiring
116-acres located on Designated Scenic Byway Rte. 169, in Southbridge
that will be named in honor of Claire Birtz, a school teacher for
many years in the town of Southbridge. For more information about
