Southbridge Savings Bank helps Worcester Common Ground

March 2006 - Southbridge Savings Bank recently donated to Worcester Common Ground which is a non-profit organization founded in 1988 to help the poorest and most underserved communities in Worcester. The mission of this organization is to create and preserve permanently affordable housing for low-and moderate income hoseholds.

Southbridge Savings Bank isn't a new name in the Worcester area. The Bank has been in operation since 1848 and over the past decade has expanded to include locations from Worcester to Springfield. They have an ever-expanding network that includes a mix of six traditional and seven in-store branches that are open seven days a week. Bank customers have shown their approval of the organizational philosophy that is centered on community support and good old-fashioned values.

The new 2,700 square foot branch will be a comprehensive full-service location offering traditional banking services such as checking and savings accounts, mortgages, auto loans, certificates of deposit and other standard banking services. In addition, the new space will also offer consumers the convenience of meeting with the Bank's Commercial and Financial Services team members. Advanced technology, modern appeal and comprehensive access to service and systems will make the new Worcester hub of the organization a destination for current and new customers alike.
