Boston MA - On November 17th, Southbridge Savings Bank Executive Vice President, Janet Garon presented WAAF’s morning show host Greg Hill with a donation to the WAAF Walk and Rock for Change benefiting the Greater Boston, New Hampshire and the Greater Worcester County Food Banks.

For 14 years WAAF staff has walked the streets of Massachusetts and New Hampshire collecting change to raise money for area food banks.

“Every year we enjoy participating in this event, ” stated Garon on the Hillman Morning Show “In addition to collecting at all 13 of our branch locations, the bank has added to the donation for a total check of $1,500.00.”
Greg Hill thanked Southbridge Savings Bank on his morning show saying “Southbridge Savings Bank is a good friend of the radio station, they are great clients and more importantly always help us out when we ask.”
This year, with the help from Southbridge Savings Bank along with other sponsors and WAAF listeners, the WAAF Walk and Rock for Change raised over $100,000.00, which translates into 250,000 meals for those in need. This year they hit the 1 Million dollar mark in total collections for the 14 years.
