Southbridge Savings Bank Presents RRI with Honorable Mention

December – On December 15, 2006 Philip Pettinelli of Southbridge Savings Bank presented Rehabilitative Resources, Inc. (RRI) with a check of $1,500. Southbridge Savings Bank had nominated the not-for-profit organization for a community grant through the Massachusetts Bankers Association.

" The bank believes the services RRI provides to the community is extraordinary," Stated Philip Pettinelli, President and CEO of Southbridge Savings Bank. "We felt that this nomination was a way to show others what a great organization this is, and the Massachusetts Bankers Association agreed with us."

The Massachusetts Bankers Association Charitable Foundation awards are symbolic of the many individual donations banks make on a regular basis to organizations and causes in their local communities. In addition to the more than $40 million a year given by Massachusetts Banks to local charities, MBA member bank employees contribute thousands of volunteer hours across the Commonwealth. The foundation, supported by the 210 member banks of the MBA throughout Massachusetts and New England, is distributing the grants over eight geographic regions, giving awards to deserving social service agencies.
