SOUTHBRIDGE – Lifelong area resident, James A. Sandagato, was recently promoted to the position of Commercial Lending and Services Officer for the Commercial Division of Southbridge Savings Bank. Jim, as friends and associates know him, has been with Southbridge Savings Bank since July of 1998. He started out as a teller and moved onto Branch Manager, a position he held for over six years.  In addition, he has worked closely with many businesses over the past three years to offer them product solutions to meet their diverse needs.

Southbridge Savings Bank offers full-service banking at all twelve of their locations. As a Commercial Officer, Jim will work with branch managers and business owners throughout Massachusetts and Northern Connecticut. His goal for the next two years is to gain a better understanding of the commercial side of banking and better himself as a sales person/relationship builder. 

“As a former branch manager, I am able to bring my lending and customer service experience to this position”, stated Mr. Sandagato in a recent interview. “These tools help me to service the customers’ goals in a way to promote a strong working relationship”.

Jim is a member of the Spencer Exchange Club, BNI of Leicester and Quaboag Valley Chamber of Commerce. He is a graduate of Quinsigamond Community College and holds a certificate of graduation from Massachusetts Bankers Association-The School for Financial Studies.  He is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from Becker College and a Certificate of Graduation from National School of Banking-The School for Financial Studies.  Jim has spent his entire life in the Spencer area and will be married in June to his Fiancé, Katherine.  In his spare time, Jim is an avid golfer.
